US Airways Hit With XXX Twitter Image
Elle Rafter was going to Portland, Oregon on US Air Flight 1787 to celebrate Spring Break. On the way, the plane stopped over in Charlotte where there was an hour delay. She was upset and wrote a very typical tweet aimed at US Airways: "Unhappy that 1787 sat for an hour on tarmac in CLT because overweight, resulting in an over hour late arrival in PDX."

Elle told them she wanted some 'free stuff' because her vacation was off to a bad start. She also decided to attach to her tweet a pretty graphic image of herself and a toy Boeing 777 positioned in a rather unusual spot (see the above image). An official of the airline replied from the airline's Twitter account, 'We truly dislike delays too and are very sorry your flight was affected.'

Well, it sounds like he didn't notice the image she attached, because he probably would have deleted it if he had. As it was, and because replies like this are automatically sent as a copy to the entire US Air Twitter customer base, the photograph of the nude Elle and her model plane also went out to all 418,000 US Air Twitter followers that afternoon. The image and tweet were online for around 22-minutes - which was enough time to cause quite a Twitter frenzy.

US Airways has profusely apologized, saying "We apologize for an inappropriate image recently shared as a link in one of our responses. We've removed the tweet and are investigating." Oops!
